Social Designer & Researcher | Product Designer

Hi! Nice to meet you!

Hi, I’m Natanya — a junior social designer with a strong focus on human connection, intercultural understanding, and emotional interaction.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the Eindhoven University of Technology, and a Master's degree in Design for Interaction from TU Delft. My academic path also led me to study at the University of Tsukuba in Japan and NTNU in Norway, where I explored how cultural values shape people, perspectives, and design.

Driven by a belief in real, tangible connection, I aim to design for a more inclusive and empathetic world — one that balances individual freedom with collective care. My work often blends emotion, experience, and function. I seek to create products that grow with people, stimulate healthier lifestyles, and foster meaningful interaction beyond screens, into the real world.

I believe that as designers, we carry responsibility not just for the aesthetics or function of a product, but also for its impact — social, emotional, and environmental.

🧠 My Vision
As a social designer, I believe design is never neutral. Every product, service, or experience influences how we think, behave, and connect, often without us realizing it. That’s why, to me, the most important tool a designer has is not software or sketches — it’s vision. A strong design vision acts as a compass: it guides decisions, defines impact, and carries the potential to shift systems.

I see design as a way to reconnect people. Not just to each other, but also to their own bodies, feelings, and surroundings. Especially in a world that’s increasingly digital, abstract, and fast-paced, I want to bring back depth, attention, and empathy. My vision revolves around designing with care: care for people, culture, and the planet.

🤝 Design for Connection
In a hyperconnected world, people are becoming increasingly disconnected. Digital tools allow us to communicate instantly, yet many still feel lonely, misunderstood, or emotionally distant. I want to design for real connection — beyond the screen.

I believe in tangible interaction as a powerful form of communication — something that engages the body, not just the brain. Physical presence, shared experience and responsibility and emotional design play an important role in my work. I aim to create moments and products that make people feel truly seen, included, and valued — not just users, but people.
